Aptitude Question ID : 94700

Simplify :
$latex 1+\frac{4}{2+\frac{3}{5-\frac{1}{2}}} – \frac{1}{2}(10\div 2)&s=1$
[A]0
[B]1
[C]$latex -\frac{15}{2}&s=1$
[D]$latex -\frac{1}{2}&s=1$

0
Given Expression,
$latex = 1+\frac{4}{2+\frac{3}{5-\frac{1}{2}}} – \frac{1}{2}(10\div 2)&s=1$
$latex = 1+\frac{4}{2+\frac{3}{\frac{10-1}{2}}} – \frac{1}{2}\times 5&s=1$
$latex = 1+\frac{4}{2+\frac{6}{9}} – \frac{5}{2} = 1+\frac{4}{2+\frac{2}{3}} – \frac{5}{2}&s=1$
$latex = 1+\frac{4}{\frac{8}{3}} – \frac{5}{2} = 1+\frac{4\times 3}{8} – \frac{5}{2}&s=1$
$latex = 1+\frac{3}{2} – \frac{5}{2} = \frac{2+3-5}{2} = 0&s=1$
Hence option [A] is right answer.
