Marsupials are mammals which have a distinctive pouch (called the marsupium), in which females carry their young through early infancy. Tasmanian Devil is the largest carnivorous marsupial which is found in Tasmania Australia. Earlier the thylacine were the largest marsupials but they became extinct in 1936. The Tasmanian devil is a stocky and muscular animal with the size of a small dog. Devil facial tumor disease (DFTD) is an aggressive non-viral transmissible parasitic cancer that affects Tasmanian Devils.
