A conservation region in the Shonkaliya Region of Ajmer District, Rajasthan will be provided for the endangered Great Indian Bustard and Lesser Florican dedicated land for their breeding. The villagers of Ajmer District have agreed to conserve 30 hectares of land for the breeding activity of these endangered birds. Nests of the Great Indian Bustard and the lesser Floricans have been noticed in the crop fields of the area.
