India is hosting the 3rd edition of World Trauma Congress (WTC), which is recently inaugurated by Union Health Minister J P Nadda at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on August 18, 2016. The main purpose of the WTC is to exchange ideas, experiences and lessons learned about the role of internationally accepted systems and protocols in the field of trauma care, mass causality incidents and disasters.
