Miss Venezuela Stefania Fernandez was crowned Miss Universe 2009
Venezuela has made history by winning the crown for two consecutive years. Last year's winner was Dayana Mendoza.
Venezuela has won five Miss Universe titles, five Miss World and four Miss International crowns, more than any other country.
She is the 6th Miss Universe from Latin American Countries.
India's Miss India Ekta Chaudhury exited without even making it to top 15.
First Runner-Up: Miss Dominican Republic, Ada Aimee De La Cruz; will assume the duties of MISS UNIVERSE 2009 if the titleholder for some reason cannot fulfill her responsibilities.
Second Runner-Up: Miss Kosovo, Gona Dragusha.

Usually the info given here are quite reliable. i request you look into the issue. The First runner up is Miss Dominican Republic Ada Aimee De La Cruz.
