World’s largest solar power plant has been recently constructed in which country?
India has recently finished the construction of Kamuthi Solar Power Project located in Tamil Nadu. Kamuthi Solar Power Project will now replace California’s Topaz Farm as the world’s biggest solar plant. This project has been commissioned by Adani Power. The solar plant spreads over 2,500 acres of land with 648 megawatts of generating capacity, which should suffice to power over 150,000 homes. It consists of 2.5 million solar modules, 576 inverters, 154 transformers as well as 6,000 kilometers of cables. The project can prove to be a landmark initiative to expand the national solar mission and way to boost Saffron Revolution and connect households and industries with 24 * 7 Power Supply.
