The IRNSS consist of seven satellites in a constellation. Out of seven satellites three satellites will be place in geostationary orbit and remaining four will be placed in geosynchronous orbit. The objective of the IRNSS is to provide positioning service over Indian region with

absolute position accuracy better than 20 meters. The IRNSS provides two services namely Standard Positioning Service (SPS) for civilian users and restricted services for strategic users.
