Consider the following:
1. Temple complex at Pattadakal
2. Group of Monuments at Hampi
3. Badami Cave Temples
Which among the above is / are World Heritage Sites?

Answer: [A] 1 & 2

While the first two options are already in the World Heritage List, the temple towns of Badami and Aihole that represent the architectural splendour of the Chalukya dynasty are yet to be considered for the World Heritage Site status. Its worth note that the Dharwad Circle of the Archaeological Survey of India was to submit a proposal to the Director-General of the ASI in New Delhi seeking World Heritage Site status to Badami and Aihole. The ASI in New Delhi will submit the proposal to the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) through the Union Ministry.
