Central Victim Compensation Fund (CVCF)

In October 2015, India’s home ministry has set up a Central Victim Compensation Fund (CVCF) with an initial amount of Rs. 200 crore.  The objective of this fund is to financially support the victims of various attacks viz. It will also encourage the states and union territory administrations to effectively implement the Victim Compensation Scheme (VCS) notified by them under the provisions of Section 357A of CrPC.
