National Resource Facility for Bio-medical Research

The Union Cabinet has recently (November 2015) approved setting up of a National Resource Facility for Bio-medical Research (NARF) at Genome Valley in Hyderabad under the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR). This would be first of its kind institution in India for quality laboratory animals for basic and applied biomedical research in the country. The laboratory rats, primates etc. will be bred and housed here.
