GKToday has started a 4 Months Programme on Current General Studies for Civil Services Mains Examination 2012 for Current Affairs Questions asked in Paper 1 and Paper 2 of General Studies. This notification proposes the broad outline of this programme. We invite the interested students and aspirants to join this programme, if they are convinced with the structure and pattern of the programme and believe that this programme may benefit them.
The Mains 2012 Programme is made up of 20 Modules. There are 15 Major Modules & 5 Mini-Modules. Every Module of Mains 2012 programme is basically an extended version of a Solved Model Test Paper, which we could have written for an aspirant. This means that all the 15 major modules are absolutely in Question-Answer format. Each Major Module comprises 2 sections as follows:

Section A : 2-5-10 Marker Questions

Section B : 150-250 Words Questions
Section A of each module comprises around 90-100 or more notes targeting the scoring 2-5 marker section of your paper. Section B comprises 20-35 or even more long answer questions with model answers. The first module gives you a better idea to judge whether the modules are suitable to you for your preparation or not. All the 15 major Modules will be same in quality, layout, presentation and almost same quantity of study material therein. The 5 Mini-Modules are based upon various themes in current general studies. For example, the Mini-Module- 1 covers Euro zone crisis in depth, focuses possible questions in your examination.
Coverage:
The Modules in this programme are designed in such a way that they include an extensive coverage and result in saving of your hundreds of hours. These modules are neither guess papers nor they provide any shortcut to success.
The Mains 2012 Programme covers the Current General Studies Part with major emphasis on the following:

Each document covers the Current Events in a retrospective manner with 5 days lag. This means that a document that is sent to you on September 10 will cover the current affairs from anytime in 2011/12 till September 5, 2012. The last module will cover the current affairs from the last week of September 2012.
These modules will not cover current events in date-wise pattern. Instead, the Current affairs being published on GKToday come to you as pdf documents during the course of this programme.
