UP Govt unveils State Service Delivery Gateway in Lucknow

Govt of UP unveiled State Service Delivery Gateway in Lucknow.

In 1st phase, 26 services of eight departments were included in this scheme.

People can now obtain certificates etc. from Panchayati Raj, Revenue, Labour, Urban development, social welfare and food and civil supplies departments.

CCI approves two laning of Raibarelly – Jaunpur section on NH-231

Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure (CCI), approved the proposal for the development of the two laning of Raibarelly - Jaunpur section on NH - 231 in Uttar Pradesh under NHDP Phase IV on Design, Built ,Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) model.
The main aim of the project is to accelerate the enhancement of infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh and also in cutting the time and cost of travel for traffic, particularly heavy traffic, commuting b/w Raibareilly - Jaunpur. It will also raise the employment prospective for the local laborers for the project activities. The project will cover the districts of Raebareilly, CSM Nagar, Pratapgarh and Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh gets a package of Rs 45,000 crore from Centre

The Centre approved a package equivalent to Rs 45,000 crore for Uttar Pradesh. The package includes release of fresh installments of funds for centrally-assisted projects which are pending due to various reasons, including inability on the side of the state government to provide utilization certificates.
Uttar Pradesh was demanding a package of Rs 93,000 crore. The entire fund will not be provided in one go but in installments.

Uttar Pradesh invites investors for its "Lucknow IT park

Uttar Pradesh govt has accelerated its efforts to attract the private sector to invest in a software technology park that is being developed in Lucknow at an estimated cost of Rs. 285 crore (US$50 million)

Lucknow Industrial Development Authority (LIDA) invited expression of interest (EoI) for the selection of an anchor investor to develop the Information Technology Park on the grounds of public-private partnership (PPP)

Anchor investor to be selected by a 'Developer Selection Committee' on the basis of minimum criteria decided for this purpose

LIDA will verify and approve the design

After approval selected developer would be required to develop the IT Park on DBOOT- Design, Build, Own, Operate and Transfer model.

The IT Park:

  • The Park will be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 285 crore (US$50 million)
  • It be developed in an area of about 1,30,000 sq metre
  • It will be provided with cutting-edge technology and will have apartments based on 'walk to office' concept
  • In addition to official space, service apartments would be built that would be leased exclusively to employees of IT businesses established there
  • The Park will include IT towers, conference and banking facilities and other amenities like restaurants, kiosks, guest houses, waiting/transit areas, travel services, power subs-station, export related facilities, training centres and health clubs.

UP to test national eBiz project

The ebiz project of the Central government aims at catering to prospective investors and Uttar Pradesh is ready to play a pilot state in this eBiz Mission of the central government. UP govt will constitute a 'Programme Management Committee' headed by Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner for timely execution of the project.

Objective: To provide single-window clearance to prospective investors

What is eBiz mission?

  • The eBiz mission is part of the 27 Mission Mode Projects under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) being implemented by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) of the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
  • The core objective is to provide investors and entrepreneurs an online single-window clearance.
  • The program will metamorphose business atmosphere in the country by providing efficient, expedient, transparent and integrated electronic services to investors, industries and businesses in the areas of information on forms & procedures, licenses, permits, registrations, approvals, clearances, permissions, reporting, filing, payments and compliances throughout the life-cycle of an industry or business unit.
  • The central theme around which the eBiz revolves is the major shift of Government in its service approach, from being department-centric to customer-centric, in offering services to the business community.
