The CBSE has signed private foreign education company-Pearson to form a Centre for Assessment, Evaluation and Research to:

• Examine CBSE’s examination system
• Perform research on implementation of its schemes
• Develop research resources to aid teachers

Objective: To build up research and assessment capabilities and resources for CBSE, its schools and teachers and to concentrate on International best practices in school-based assessment, teaching techniques and high stake examinations.
