What makes soaps Transparent?

The Transparent soaps are made of glycerin. They are partly soap and partly solvent. It is Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) that causes crystals to form in soap and makes them opaque. When it is dissolved in a solvent the crystals become so small that light passes from them.
