What has been held in the case of Vishvas aba Kurana vs. State of Maharashtra in regard to the right of private defence?

In India, the right of private defence is contained in sections 96 to 106 of the Indian penal code and the principles enshrined therein may be applied in the law of torts. In recent case, vishvas aba kurana vs. state of maharashtra, the supreme court held that it is well settled that to claim a right of private defence extending to voluntary that to claim a right of private defence extending to voluntary causing of death, the accused must show that there were  circumstances giving rise to reasonable grounds for apprehending that either death or grievous hurt would be caused to him.
