SAMCO Ventures, a Mumbai-based discount broking firm, has launched Indian Trading League (ITL). The ITL is said to be the country’s first capital market league. The first edition of the league begins on May 19 and will conclude on March 31, 2016 with four formats in the first edition – the Indian Trading League, the Indian Investors League, the Indian Commodities League and the Indian Women League. ITL was launched by former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev, who also started his first innings as an investor in the venture at an event held in Mumbai.
