What is GKToday.in ?
Contrary to the general perception you may have, GKToday is just a simple blog, which is proudly powered by Blogger and Google. It is simply an online competition E-magazine. It covers latest current affairs in quiz & updates form. This site is in 4 parts. A Daily Quiz, Fortnightly Mega Quizzes, Fact sheets which are articles & notes related to conventional subjects like Indian History, Geography, Science, Indian Polity , Constitution, Law, National Issues, International Issues etc., Current Affairs Updates which are notes and newsbytes of recent current affairs.
The idea of the author to work for this e-magazine is two-fold. One is to provide our readers daily updates as an email newsletter. Another is to create a big online free archive of quizzes & notes available to everybody to boost one's GK in a short span of time without feeling much pressure of examinations.
You receive the content in your e-mail when you subscribe this newsletter via feedburner. This E-magazine is made specifically for the online medium and does not exist in print.

This Daily E-magazine covers the current affairs and conventional subjects. Since we update the contents daily, you receive a newsletter with the updated content. The content is to the point and prepared keeping the exams in the center. This e-magazine can serve as a Daily Supplement to Your Studies.
While preparing the content, we keep two main segments of aspirants in focus. One is Bank Exams viz. Bank-PO, Clerical, Marketing Officers, Agriculture Officers & other Assistant Grade Examinations. Another Segment is UPSC Civil Services (IAS) Exam, State Civil Services Exams, Railway, NDA, CDS, Income Tax officers and other similar examinations.
3. I am preparing for Bank PO, which part of the site is more useful for me?
This site keeps special emphasis on Finance & Economy Current Affairs and Indian Economy. If you are preparing for Bank PO exams, you must pay attention to current affairs updates, current affairs quizzes, Quizzes on Indian Economy, fact sheets related to Indian Economy & Mega Quizzes

You shall get the updated content of the previous day. This means that if any content is uploaded and published on the site today, you shall receive it in your email tomorrow around 6.00 am to 8.00 am IST (in the morning). We publish the daily quiz between 10.00 am to 1.00 pm IST daily. The fact sheets & Updates may be published on back dates. We are trying to diversify the content for a better user experience , in the limits of blogger technology
8. How to be sure that answers provided in this blog are reliable?
This blog is maintained by a human and to err is human. We prepare the quizzes using various sources and try our level best to ensure accuracy as well as quaility of the questions. The basic idea of publishing daily quizzes is not to test your knowledge but to provide you an opportunity daily to analyze your own depth of studies of the particular topic or subject.
Besides, this site attracts a large number of readers. Some of our esteemed readers are new learners and many of them are experts in GK and current affairs. Since anybody can post comments on our blog, even as anonymous, it is possible for people to point out any errors or typing mistakes. As soon as anybody from our reader’s community finds out any error, he / she post a comment. We receive the comment in our mail box within seconds and we go the post and rectify it. We pay attention to each and every comment. So due to collective intelligence of the entire reader community , we can assure you of 100% reliability.

9. I am new to the site, where should I begin?
This site was launched in December 28, 2008 and now it is more than a year old. We have published more than 300 quizzes and updates for the entire year 2009. If you are new to the site, we suggest you to follow more than 2-3 quizzes everyday from the archive along with our fresh quizzes. For example if you come to this site for the first time on January 1, 2010, you shall receive quiz 310 onwards in your email subscription. You may follow, quiz 311, 312 .... daily as we publish & you receive in your email. Besides the entire archive is free and accessible to everybody. For better knowledge you need to follow the past quizzes in 299, 298, 297, 296.....order. (Reverse Chronologically) . This is because , in a blog all items are arranged in a reverse chronological order and latest & most relevent information is available in the archives in reverse chronological order.
10. Rules for Comments:
Please note that your comments are very important for us. You may write comment on any post, however due to the growing size of the content and reader community, now we have put all comments on moderation. This is to avoid offensive, unpleasant to our readers and irrelevant comments posted by unscrupulous elements. This is a limitation of a blog that it can not work as a forum, still we publish all the comments which are unobjectionable, and relevant.
11. I found a mistake or some outdated info in the past archive, how to edit this?
Since it is a blog , there is not facility of editing the content by its users like we have in wikipedia and other wiki sites. However, when you find any error just leave your comment. We check that particular info and eliminate the error. Please note that the comments which indicate an error don't get published. This is to avoid further discussions and confusion. We have widget as an error log for this purpose.
